Bidrage med feedbackIt is not glamorous in any way, but the locals love it, the food is simple, but expensive and good big if you want something smaller and less expensive for lunch.
We were driving in Valle de uco, starving and couldn't find anything open for late lunch...Posada del jamon was a good alternative but we waited for 1.5 hrs. The food was OK but definitely not worth the wait. The place was nice but again, nothing...out of the ordinary. Very family oriented.
As the name says...the house of pork. Quite nice place. The inclosed front porch was a delight overlooking the garden. The food was a real treat. Have not seen so many kinds of ham since I was in Madrid. They were all excellent. Sausage, Ribs,...a real variety of pork. A bottle of M. Rolland Malbec from his owned property in Tunuyan. It tasted like M. Rolland wine. Great experience. Even ran into a Napa wine guy working on a project for the Wagner family. This is the place for the local winos.
Nt on all imagination, wooden tables outside, but the food is good and the cheap wine white acceptable. Service good and ambience very good. Go on a beautiful sunny day as a limited space inside.
This is a rustic, incredibly well maintained guest house, in Vista Flores, Argentina. 50 minutes from the city of Mendoza. We stayed in a 3 person room with a small kitchenette/TV next to the room, cozy and comfortable. This wonderful place is led by a very attentive...and charming Italian family that will make sure you feel welcome! Your home-cooked meals are enjoyed by guest and outdoor guests alike. They are specialized in pork: ham, pork carving (milansa) and sell beautiful homemade whole ham. That's why the name Pork Inn Posada del Jamon. They also have a vineyard, part of the entire estate and serve an excellent Malbec. If you like to walk around, you can admire your veggie garden, some wild birds, a pavilion for parties and a heated pool. Very little would you miss if you stayed here. If you want to dare, there are several small cities with beautiful restaurants and wineries that can be visited if you ask the Inn owners to help you contact them. All in all a very satisfying and relaxing experience. The best wishes for the family Cairo!!!
