Saint John's Yard - TUNBRIDGE WELLS

I had the launchpad mcquack at this restaurant in TW and it was honestly the most revolting food I have ever had. The burger was full of gristle and inedible, the duck was chewy fat, and both buns were soggy from grease. The chips were cold and hard like glass, but still somewhat manageable to eat. My daughter had the chicken breast bites which were also chewy and greasy. The lady who took our order was very rude and when I asked for a pint of coke, it was only half filled. There were no check backs during our meal. After spending £30, we left feeling very disappointed and hungry from not being able to eat the food. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I always love eating at this restaurant. The burgers are top-notch and the best in town. The atmosphere is fantastic, I highly recommend this place.

I went to this restaurant for dinner after completing an escape room nearby. We were lucky to get the last available table. The service was fast and the burgers we ordered were delicious. However, my husband thought the fries were too salty and overcooked, and the spicy burger wasn't quite spicy enough for him. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the unique atmosphere of the restaurant.

Severely gone down hill. Gone are the days of 12am last orders on a Thursday and staff who are there for the customers. Last night (a fairly busy Thursday) the first bell was rang at 10.30 and then last bell at 10.45. A group of 8 men near us asked for another round just as last bell rang but were refused that round would have probably totalled £50. Our group would have had another round (probably £25) and who knows about the various other tables dotted around. The business probably lost £100 for a mere 15 minutes extra work. You would think the staff would use their initiative in such situations but why should they care? it's not their business they just want to get home! I wonder if the owner is aware. This experience was also not just a one off it has been like that for months. I overheard the large group say they would never come back and I tend to agree. Will try the pub opposite next time. Or I may apply for a job there as it seems staff have no problem getting a drink after hours.

Had dinner here for my sons 13th party after an escape room. The staff were amazing and so accommodating. 23 people and all the food came out hot, on time and no mistakes!! Thank you!!!
