Very beautiful place. The meditation hall is an awesome piece of architecture. Must visit.
This place is hardly 70kms from Bangalore and the drive to this place is also not that hectic. You should reach this place in the evening say about 5 pm only then you will be enjoy the view. The Jain temple here is said to be BC, they have now just made some renovations there. Temple is up in the hill you need to climb about 450-500 steps to reach at the top, though all elderly people when I saw had great sprit and climbed it all the way up
Beautiful and serene place to visit. The Basadi is build in the shape of a Pinch peacock feather broom and is dedicated to Sri Shanthisagarji Maharaja. The insides of the Basadi depicts life of Digambar from birth to death. Next to the Basadi is Mandaragiri betta climbing upon which you'll find a Jain temple that is currently under construction. Behind the temple is this beautiful view of Mydala lake. Sit there with your family and loved ones and enjoy the view. Best time to visit is early in the morning or evening to catch up with sunrise or sunset. Also remember not to invoke any kind of noise or litter plastics around this beautiful place.
Situated on top of the hill, climbing is easy. There are well constructed stairs. The temple at the top of the hill is still under construction but the views of the lake and the surrounding is surreal.
