Santa Fe Restaurant - Tulum

TOURIST WARNING ABOUT XULUM ZONA SANTA FE: Tulum’s ruins are beautiful and accessible by paying a tax fee and a ticket fee, as all monuments of due respect everywhere on earth. If you reach the area via Colectivo DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE, cross the road and begin your walk to the ruins pay what you owe and leave the place once you are done. Tourists alighting from any kind of transportation, mostly colectivos, are met by a group of people resembling very well some sort of public guide that has been put there by the council, wearing clothes with very official stuff written on and waiting by a gazebo with a “tourist information” sign. They start by explaining the way to the ruins and what needs to be paid, which sounds fair enough. However, they will propose this “amazing snorkelling experience in crystal clear waters where you will swim with turtles” with beach club included in Playa Paraiso, zona santa fe. Well let me tell you, it’s a rip off. Tulum is NOT suitable for snorkelling for the majority of months, the sea is covered in sargassum and although the snorkel is done off the coast it still is nowhere near crystal clear. Moreover, there isn’t a beach club, just umbrellas and some chairs, is not the place to hang around especially after an excruciating walk of more than 1 hour. After visiting the ruins make ur way back and go visit something else.

La comida es de baja calidad y el precio es excesivo. Aprovechan a los turistas y cambian 1 dólar a 14 pesos cuando en la mayoría de los lugares en Tulum es 1:19. Los baños son de pago, sin papel y sucios. No lo recomendaría, considerando que hay otras opciones mejores y cercanas, como Playa Paraíso con más servicios y precios más bajos.

Very good waiters at santa fé restaurant in barcelo hotel. The food was delicious! I recommend it if You like good food and good moments

Realmente pesimo servicio, precios elevados. Pedimos varios guacamole, tacos y cerveza, tuvimos q preguntarle reiteradamente al mozo si iba a traer la comida o no (tardaron mas de una hora), la cerveza estaba a temperatura ambiente (hacia 33 grados), el guacamole tenia un pelo, le pedimos q lo cambiara... se fue a la mesa de al lado le saco el pelo y lo trajo de nuevo... un asco!

Precios un poco altos pero pago comodidad y vista. Excelente playa y el guacamole de lujo. El servicio rápido y buena cerveza
