Taco Bueno - Tulsa

It's been decades since I have been here due to living in Illinois. Wow, I forgot how much I missed this place and how I liked their food!

Best Tex-Mex Fast Food Place Around. Well, prices have gone up, and while I'm not happy about that, who knows? Maybe they had to do it.I usually get the Beef Taco Platter, which is currently tax. Used to be ! That rocked.You get chips salsa, which are ok; refried beans rice- both have pretty good flavor (the rice has enough spice to be interesting), sour cream, guacamole, and two tacos: one soft (flour) and one hard (corn). I ask for sides of jalapeno slices and chopped onion. They're in little plastic cups and come with the meal (but you have to ask if you go through the drive-through). I put the onions on the beans for added flavor, and spread the jalapenos around the rest of the food. All of this is enough to fill me up unless I'm extraordinarily hungry; in which case I usually go for the Beef Enchilada platter, which is similar, but has fairly large beef enchiladas w/ cheese sauce poured over them (instead of tacos), which ends up making the meal slightly larger. They have other items and platters, of course.Taco Bueno also has Pico de Gallo. It's good as well. Also, if you eat inside, they have a little bar where you can get plenty of peppers, onion, lemon wedges, pico de gallo, and salsa.; which really let's you perfect your meal.It's still fast food', but for fast food, Taco Bueno is great !
