Abuelo's Mexican - Tulsa

I placed a to-go order while I was in Tulsa on my way home, and the food was excellent. I also want to give Casandra a 5-star rating. I always like to acknowledge great service, and she really exceeded my expectations. Not only did she take my order at the bar, but she also brought me chips, salsa, and water while I waited. She treated me like an old friend, which made the experience even better. I will definitely make it a point to come back the next time I'm in the area. Thank you for providing such great customer service, Casandra!

Our server was fantastic: knowledgeable and personable, which made the situation better. However, during the hour and a half we were there, I noticed many employees at the host station, but only one was delivering food to our server. Despite the fact that our server was managing three tables (two of which were large parties), it seemed like there was a lack of team support. No one came by to help with drink or chip refills. I don’t believe we ever saw a manager present either. I understand it was a Friday night, but there should have been better coordination among the staff. Perhaps it was a staffing issue, but I doubt I'll return to this location anytime soon.

The food was enjoyable, but the music was too loud and distracting. It should complement the dining experience instead of taking the focus away from the food and conversation.

Eating was good when we got it and corrected it. the service was very bad. multiple errors and only inability. left without drinks refills, be on the ones that we were very clear, could not have a cheese for allergies for our girls. with the manager. he offered to take care of our daughter child's meal. he never apologized. it didn't seem really important. we loved this place, but unfortunately this kind of experience will be normal there.

So the over by Tulsa Hills has some good food, not dripping with grease like other Mexican restaurants around the area. The taco salad is huge and very presentable. The enchiladas are equally as good, with beans and rice. it all tasted fresh. The service was really friendly even though I give the staff a hard time. I compensate with gratuity equally.
