Had an overnight stay at the Hotel for business. Didn’t want to go out just something simple but good. The classic burger did not disappoint. Cooked exactly as I asked. Super juicy and fresh toppings. Fries were the seasoned kind. Just crispy enough but not too much. The menu has lighter foods and more upscale if that is your craving. Service was friendly and food came out in a very reasonable amount of time.
The food is consistently disappointing. Even though my company covered the bill, it wasn't worth the price of the tip. There are plenty of places nearby where I can enjoy healthier and tastier meals. Even the most lackluster chain restaurants can prepare a better dinner than this place.
The service staff at this restaurant were great, but the kitchen left much to be desired. The menu is quite limited, and every dish seems to be drenched in sauce or liquid. The vegetable options are sparse, and most meals come served on a bed of sides that feel more simplistic than elegant. The sides are excessively rich in butter or oil, yet strangely lack salt. The only items they seem to manage well are the French fries, seafood, chicken, and the one sandwich available. The breakfast buffet offers decent variety, but the cage-free eggs taste cardboard-like, and the hot breakfast options are the same every day. For dinner, here are the highlights: - The Caesar salad is swimming in dressing, leaving a pool at the bottom. - The Northwest apple salad is overpoweringly vinegary. - Burgers and steaks tend to be undercooked, necessitating an order for a doneness level higher than expected. - The fish and chips come in a small portion; the fish is mushy and the slaw is just bland, wet cabbage. - The salmon was decent, but it felt like it was missing something essential, and the quinoa tasted predominantly of vegetable oil. - The halibut is served in a white sauce that is only mildly dill-flavored and is labeled as gazpacho. - The fettuccine resembles more of a soup than a pasta dish, with an abundance of slimy cut onions that overshadow the noodles. - The yakisoba was tasty but excessively spicy and, once again, too soupy. It lacked the expected beef or chicken and instead featured shrimp, which feels like an odd choice for this dish. Overall, the entire dinner menu left me disappointed and was frankly pathetic.
I had my first experience with food poisoning after dining at this hotel restaurant. I've been sick all night.
