Bidrage med feedbackJust cannot say enough about the friendly service, and great tasting, large portions. One of the owners came out talked with me, and proudly talked about recent expansion project to restaurant. We booked for large party and more than anticipated showed up. No problem, Abby the owner, handled us like a Boss, shifted gears and accommodated our large party like just another day at the office. What an absolute professional with the greatest smile and grace this side of the Rio Grande River. The staff was stellar, efficient, friendly and attentive. Must go to when in town. I cast my vote for Michelin star rating. Bravo!
Grace has to be the most pleasant attribute to this restaurant. She understood that I had been working all day and didn’t want to sit at the table next to the party of 1000(my headache said it was that many). She move me with no hesitation to what I called the “granny section”. The waitress on this side of the room was very unwelcoming and didn’t even speak. She finished up her customers all nice and bubbly and proceeded to clean her section with the help of the 10 yr old buss boy( really cute). When she was done she said that the best part of her shift was “……having a beer afterwards”…,WHO? I know you not talking to lil ole me?…. Grace saved the day on this one.The FOOD…….and y’all know I like to eat….look at the picture and tell me what you see….5 pieces of the toughest ends of a steak they had and 4 jumbo shrimp with the shell still on. Even the waitress was like “you had shells on your shrimp??” Lol. I ate ‘em….shrimp were actually the best part of the whole entire meal. I was referred here and told that this was the best place in town…..GET ME OUTTA THIS TOWN????…..do yourself a favor….just don’t.
So many great things to say about this place! The staff are so nice! The food is AMAZING! There's a little boy named Brandon who works there. We loved having him around! It was his birthday ??? but he came to work any how! Great kid!
We usually head to the Tee Pee Room (and Lizard Lounge) when in Tucumcari on our annual trip, but found it closed (it just reopened). So we found La Cita Mexican restaurant right on Hwy 66. It's attractive, has two large dining rooms and friendly staff. Good selection of beers and a great chili relleno comes with green sauce, red sauce or both. Chips and salsa were delicious. Everything was good, and reasonably priced.
2nd time visiting La Cita and it's just as good as a year ago! Genuine Mexican food at its best! One star down for service and atmosphere only because it was full and that made the dining area very clustered. Will be visiting again in the future!
