Bidrage med feedbackThe waiter, who was vegan, was extremely accommodating. His recommendations were excellent, such as the turmeric-infused cabbage, carrots, and potatoes, as well as the spicy red lentils. I opted for the green curry. He made sure to serve my carnivorous companion's dish in a separate plate. With so many vegan options to choose from, I look forward to returning here. The food was both satisfying and affordable.
I love Ethiopian food and this place is as good as anyone I've tried. You are welcomed with the smell of a variety of tasteful spices when you go in the door, and dining room is picturesque and comfortable. There is one serving of vegetable dishes on the menu, and all the others are vegan (and the non-vegan dish can be made easily vegan by leaving the cottage cheese). My favorites are Foussulia, Yemisir Kay Wat and Gomen Wat.
I love Ethiopia eating after a friend in Ethiopia has brought me to a restaurant about 20 years ago. I discovered zemams during in tucson about 8 or 10 years ago and always try to stop for a meal when in the city. I prefer sharp, but for those who have no choice that are not sharp at all. it is authentic and delicious.
We have a veggie sampler, one of the courts they gave us had meat in it. my wife, who is a vegetarian, ate a few of them and has been throwing up since the afternoon. I've been a regular customer for 2 years and that was the first time I took her vegan friendliness to take someone who was vegetarian into the restaurant. I was wrong. they need a serious quality control. will recommend vegetarian to avoid the place.
Everything was great! I have eaten a lot of Ethiopian food, in Ethiopia and the Usa. It is a close rival. not over seasoned or salted, a real taste look.
