Bidrage med feedbackRincon Market is ridiculous. The only reason why every body should go there is if it doesn't feel like stopping in another place that is cheaper (which doesn't make sense) Everything is too expensive... Well done. The hot Deli, where you can be served for breakfast or lunch, is exaggerated. All they serve is bad quality and sometimes even reused for the next day. And the variety, what variety? Not to mention that they increase their prices over every other day due to “gas prices and rising food prices” to keep with business... Nevertheless, they have enough money to buy new furniture and advertisements for their business instead of thinking about making customers happy. Slender high prices for shrinking portion sizes is what you are all. For example, they increased the prices of their drinks, but the cups shrunk in size. And the bakery is pathetic, with overpriced pastries that are not even made on the grounds. And the few things that are made there taste bad in quality. And everything is kept in the free air, so that the flies become solid. Not to mention most chefs and bakers never where gloves. Sounds foolish? Sure not for me... And the owners, well, they are just fake, not to mention greedy. And think that you get good food deals, think again. What you buy is twice almost three times the price as it is elsewhere. For example, their products are bought by Sunflower Market and wrapped and sold there, at twice the price and half the share. Sounds fair? Sure not for me. In my opinion, if something to eat go to Mcdonald is cheaper. And drink something, go to Circle K and get a 54 ounce of soda for 99 cents. Rincon Market, not like all neighborhood markets should be.
They sneak in higher prices while reducing portion sizes. For instance, their drinks got pricier, but the cup sizes got smaller. The bakery is disappointing as well, with overpriced pastries that aren’t even baked on the premises. The few items that are made there don’t taste good, and everything is left out in the open for flies to land on. Additionally, most cooks and bakers don’t wear gloves, which is quite off-putting. The owners come across as insincere and greedy. If you think you’re getting a good deal on groceries, think again. Their prices are almost double—sometimes triple—what you would pay elsewhere. For example, they buy produce from Sunflower Market, repackage it, and sell it for double the price and half the quantity. Does that sound fair? Absolutely not. In my opinion, if you want something to eat, just go to McDonald’s; it’s cheaper. And for a drink, you can get a 54-ounce soda at Circle K for just 99 cents. Rincon Market is definitely not what a neighborhood market should be.
Even if I wasn't familiar with Rincon Market, I would completely dismiss momoinparadise's review. Why? I struggle to trust a reviewer who can't spell correctly (like "Mcdonald" instead of "McDonald") or punctuate properly, and who misuses words (like "decedent" instead of "decent," "where" instead of "wear," and "their" instead of "they're"). It seems this reviewer had a bad day and took out her frustrations on the market. She's unfairly comparing a small neighborhood store to a supermarket chain! Naturally, a chain can offer more competitive prices because they buy in larger quantities and have a broader selection. However, Rincon Market boasts one of the best fish markets in Tucson, comparable to AJ's (an upscale market in the Foothills), and has an extremely knowledgeable staff. They offer a nice variety of produce and a good selection of wines for a small store. If you're looking to eat there, they offer both hot and cold options, including fresh sushi, deli sandwiches, and a fantastic salad bar with many choices. I've never seen food handlers without gloves.
Even if I weren't already familiar with Rincon Market, I would definitely take Momoinparadise's review with a grain of salt. Why? It's hard to trust a critic who can't spell "McDonald's" correctly or who misuses words (like saying "decent" when it should be "where," or "their" instead of "they're").
