Py Steakhouse - Tucson

We typically go to The Keg in Oro Valley when we want a good high end steak dinner but we decided to try something different. Big mistake. The atmosphere is nice and our servers were really great, attentive but not too attentive. However, the food is where it all went bad. I honestly do not get all of the rave reviews about the food because it just wasn't great. We both ordered the 14oz Ribeye cooked medium but Im pretty sure what we got was not ribeye because the steak had no marbling and it was VERY tough which is not really normal for a ribeye. It was also bland and somehow burnt but undercooked all at the same time. I know they have special rubs that you can add for an upcharge but I figured it would at least have salt as a basic seasoning. The sides were just okay. We had the potatoes gratin, mac and cheese and seasonal fried okra. The cheesecake was good but not really a high end restaurant type desert either. All in all this was a disappointing experience. If you want good steak avoid this place. The food does not fit the very high price tag.

My wife and I dined here on 9/1/23. While the service was excellent and the wait staff were very attentive to our needs, the wait for our food was unacceptable. A simple 3 course meal turned into a 2-1/2 hour event. Not that we were pressed for time, but they should have been quicker on the food.

Great looking place. However, our order was not input into the system and it was only when we asked about our food that they realized. By then, it was too late since we had tickets to a comedy show next door. Ruined the whole weekend for my party.

Having been years since our 1st visit and experience dining to last nights dining... superb service, excellent ambiance delicious food!! Thank you to all the staff members and Chef/ Line Cooks... We will be back!
