Bidrage med feedbackBest chicken molecular I ever had in tucson. wonderful art. wonderful music. wonderful staff. wonderful chef. I want you to be a good one and have a good time, if you get through tucson, you'd miss if you didn't eat here. it's really an experience.
Best tacos I’ve ever had. So good that I would suggest to anybody and if they aren’t satisfied I would refund them out of my own pocket. A must visit in Tucson. Asked Martin to make his three favorites and he did not disappoint. The carne asada was my favorite and melts in your mouth. Tortillas are out of this world and awesome with the pineapple juice drink.
I have had this place bookmarked for awhile and was in the area... and hungry so stopped by. With the pandemic, they are open for takeout. We were greeted and taken care of warmly by Martin himself. We ordered the chilaquiles and a 3 taco plate. He whipped up our order/packaged it up, and even though we had a hike back to Vail the food was super tasty and still warm when we got home. The salsas were awesome, I particularly liked the green. My hubby got the carne asada, chicken mole and one other taco that was recommended and he scarfed them down. He is a hard sell on any Mexican food establishment he has never tried and he loved his tacos. My chilaquiles were really good, and I loved the way they did the beans. I was really impressed at how nicely everything was packaged up and in a bag that was sealed shut. Well done Martin, we will be back!
Seriously weird experience! The burrito my boyfriend ordered was good and the fish taco/torta not bad. The steak in my taco tasted a little past the date I would serve it (which might have been why it was cooked soooo very well done) and was bland and not tasty overall. The chicken mole taco was also extremely bland and just not at all good even a little salt might have helped. Now the food we ended up with was pretty mediocre when rated altogether but the service was really what puts this into the 1-2 stars category. The waiter reminded us a few times there were only 2 of them but he didn’t need to because fast service was not an issue, it was mainly the attitude of Martin himself. What started out as an interesting convo about how they make everything fresh and authentic turned into him bashing American food and other “less authentic” Mexican places that have the gall to fry the occasional item. So he rants about how unhealthy everyone else’s food is while he’s probably minutes away from a heart attack himself. Also complained a lot about his patrons and the neighborhood and blah blah. Overall very pretentious and aggressive despite the food quality not being something I think you could reasonably be pretentious about. Also the funniest line was when my boyfriend (who is half Mexican himself) said he was more used to refried or black beans and this guy went on about his beans for a while before saying “yeah we’re authentic here! I’m not here to cater to gringos”. And all I can think is that you absolutely are because you chose to run a restaurant and here we are, gringos you just catered to.
Wow talk about a rip off , my husband and I had the 3 tacos each with nothing else, it didnt come with rice or beans and 2 sodas 34.00 they didn't even have Carne asada for the tacos and we had to settle for something else. I definitely would not go back. My menu was covered in dried beans.
