Frost Gelato - Tucson

Having only had gelatos ‘out of a box’ I was not prepared for this fabulous experience. Beats ice cream, frozen yogurt hands down. Only 1% milk solids, works also for those of us on a more restricted diet. All hand made on site, creamy, about 2 dozen choices from fruits (2 different lemons), chocolates, a couple spirits, and sugar free. Cups, cones, artsy cakes to order, shake-like drinks. I try many but always ALWAYS go back to the Dark Chocolate. Heaven for a chocolate-holic.

Usually my favorite place for dark chocolate gelato, but today it was crumbly and not smooth as usual. Even the flavor was lacking. It’s been awhile since I’ve visited. I hope this an aberration and not a change.

Frost is the best Gelato spot in Arizona! We have moved farther away but made sure to include a stop there when back in Tucson! You cannot beat the selection or service.

Best I’ve had anywhere. I can see why it is so popular. The only feedback I have is that they were out of several flavors the day I went. Otherwise all was great!

The gelato was good, unfortunately the staff wasnt trained and overcharged us. Ordered a two scoop gelato with a frost hot chocolate. Then the staff charged us for the Grande Shake instead which is over $7 and the frost got chocolate was supposed to be slightly over 3. While waiting the staff told us they couldn’t make that item and asked if we wanted anything else after paying. They offered another 2 scoop. So we paid for less than we got. I want to give the benefit of doubt that the staff was very new.
