Epic Cafe - Tucson

This is honestly the best thing I've tasted in a long time! There are very few vegan options in the city, especially for those of us who appreciate, as the owner of Café Maggie puts it, "vegan food that stands on its own merits, rather than trying to imitate mock meat." Their new menu offers several delightful vegan choices. I tried the biscuits with Soyrizo gravy, and every bite was phenomenal. I didn't even need hot sauce, and I'm a hot sauce addict! I also had their homemade sunflower cookie, which is ten times better than a peanut butter cookie (and I do love PB). Finally, I enjoyed a dirty Horchata, which was perfectly balanced—not too sweet but not bland or watery. I had the opportunity to chat with the owner, and I was truly inspired by his business vision, his aspirations for the café, and the support he's providing to the vegan community. The staff is incredibly kind, too. I'm so grateful to @deathfreefoodie for suggesting this spot for my solo breakfast date. I can't wait to return next weekend to try the pancakes!

I used to know this place as the Epic Cafe, and it's just as great, if not better! They offer a fantastic selection of breakfast and lunch options, along with some delightful drinks. My bacon was cooked to perfection, the toast was spread with just the right amount of butter, and the eggs were simply delicious! They also have a wide variety of pastries, both sweet and savory. The cafe wasn't busy at all, making it the perfect hidden gem to explore. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. You absolutely have to try their prickly pear smoothie—it's so good that I would come here just for that! The refresher is also incredibly tasty and perfect for hot days.

I had an incredible dining experience with excellent service at this conveniently located restaurant. The food was delicious, particularly the seasoned fries, eggs, and toast—simply outstanding! I wasn't too fond of the sausage, but next time, I'll choose bacon instead. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This is a go-to spot for me. Kind and knowledgeable service. Menu is the perfect size, valuing quality over quantity. Plenty of options to choose from, savory and sweet. Haven't had something I didn't like. Roomy and bright environment, and love all the well taken care of plants scattered about. Also kiddo friendly, which isn't very common with cafés. Highly recommend.
