I am thrilled that we decided to visit this restaurant! We were originally heading to one of our favorite vegan spots when I decided to search for "vegan near me" to see if there was a new option that caught my eye. As soon as I saw pictures of the food, I knew this place would be great. The moment we walked in, we felt the island vibes and relaxed atmosphere that perfectly complemented the beautiful decor. The restaurant is owned by a lovely couple and their well-behaved children. They guided us through the menu as first-time visitors, and we ordered the BBQ tofu, potato chickpea curry, a pineapple lemonade drink, and a Johnny cake topped with apple chutney for dessert. The flavors blew me away - each dish was incredibly aromatic, and the cabbage was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning, and next time we will bring our 6-year-old who I'm sure will love the vegan mac and cheese. Thank you for the fantastic meal and service!
The food at this restaurant is amazing and the service is excellent. I tried the jerk tofu in BBQ sauce with tears and drafts, along with curtains for the sides. It was the best tofu dish I've ever had, thanks to the delicious homemade BBQ sauce. The sauce had a bit of heat and paired perfectly with the rice. The ginger and pineapple juice mixed with lemonade was also very refreshing and tasty.
This is definitely the top restaurant in Tucson. Everything is made fresh to order. I tried the curry shrimp with rice and beans and a side of cole slaw. The flavors were amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Caribbean or vegan food in Tucson. There are plenty of options and delicious island desserts as well. And I have to mention the excellent customer service.
