South St. Burger - Tsawwassen

Harvey's burgers are the benchmark for me so when we saw "flame grilled" we hoped that we'd found a replacement as Harvey's no longer seems to be in the Vancouver area. Are there any left? Does anyone know?We ordered a burger to share with some handcut fries. It was more or less self service and took a bit of time - in fairness it was pretty busy - but have to say it was disappointing. While the burgers had sort of a flame grilled taste the patty was pressed, and quite possibly pre frozen. NOT of Harvey's caliber for sure. Had it on a gluten free bun which was tasteless and crumbled apart. The wheat bun looked more substantial and may well have been ok.Fries were pretty good but could have been better. Overall experience just seemed to be missing something. Search continues....B.

Burgers prepared fresh are really quite good and made the way you like them. Worth the wait for a good burger.

We ordered 4oz burger with Swiss cheese and mushroom. We both LOVE them!!! Even though it took a while to wait for the food, it was worthy because it tasted GOOD!

Went there with the family , Impressive flame grill for everyone to see. Burgers were a little bit dry but overall experience was good.

Tried this place for the first time. A good burger similar to 5 guys. It allows the choice of some predesigned burger combinations but also a lot of extra toppings. More choices than 5 guys. The taste and quality is very close to 5 guys. It is a much better value and burger than fast food. Its cheaper than mcds. If you are in the area definitely give it a try. You line up at the till and order the size and type of burger and drink. Then move down the line and tell them what you want added to the burger a la subway. It was quick and tasty.
