Artemide - TROPEA

Words simply cannot describe the taste sensation experienced in this restaurant. The food is amazing, and the flavours burst in your mouth creating an amazing taste sensation like none other. I had a mixed raw fish, and the flavours mixed in with the dish exploded in my mouth amazing! I then ordered the seafood grill, which took my taste buds to a whole new level ... so flavoursome! The chef really knows his stuff and understands flavours do yourself a favour and dine there. Oh, and the place is also amazing.

Serving seafood in bad state. Overpriced. Bad experience. We choose this place based on Google reviews but the experience was awful. We ordered risotto di mare, extremely salty to compensate for the bad taste and strong smell or the seafood that was off. No need to add anything else. Avoid.

The grilled sword fish and tuna from the mixed grilled seafood tasted and smelled very bad. We told the waitress that we could not eat this as the smell was very invasive and she said the fish was perfect. The other waiter told us the fish wasn’t the problem as everyone had the same dish, they told us in a very bad manner that the problem was us and wanted to charge the full price, didn’t offer anything else to compensate the bad situation. To be clear, we order the same grilled sea food before in two other restaurants, that’s why we liked so much that we order the same dish in Artemide as was our last day in Tropea, that’s why we know exactly how it should taste and noticed straight away that something happened here. It could happen that something is wrong with a dish, just happens, the whole annoying thing is the bad attitude to the customer, they could have acted in a different way and apologise and we would be happy. They should learn how to treat a customer. A shame really.

Amazing place great food great hospitality and I highly recommended.

We had lunch and sang in many restaurants in the historic center of Tropea and in this one we hit the mark. Welcoming and clean environment; the manager, Mr. Antonio, very kind and generous with useful suggestions; the food fish very fresh and expertly prepared by the young but already expert Chef Vincenzo. In this staff starting from the owner Mrs. Angela the rule applies: If the raw material is not of superior quality, it is not served! The price? Proportionate to the quality!
