La Cage - Brasserie sportive

Came here multiple times during May 2012 (Memorial Cup). Visited mostly because of the sports bar side and the proximity to where our shuttle was leaving for Shawinigan. It was OK, typical beer and restaurant fare. Bartenders were friendly (of course). Food was OK, nothing to call home to your mother about. However, I would visit again probably just because of the atmosphere.

Went with my 14 y.o. and managed to run a 80$ bill. One beer, one juice, one nacho plate and 2 dinner "a la carte".Service was good, food just ok. Noisy atmosphere. Will wait till i'm rich before i go back... or at least will never GET rich if i keep going...

The food is less than average. Obviously frozen for quick preparation. Free popcorn, good draft beer and multiple tv screens make you forget the food. Good game atmosphere or to bring kids with the team after a game. Don't expect to feed them healthy stuff though.

While my wife and I were in Quebec City for a few days we were looking for restaurant/bar that was showing UFC100. We thought it would be interesting to see GSP, the local boy, defend his title amongst his biggest supporters. It was great! We were greeted at the door and asked if we had reservations. No, we didn't. Despite this, and although my wife and I don't speak French that well, we we treated kindly and directed to a table in front of a huge TV screen! By the time the fight started the place was packed. My wife and I wondered if we had someone's table. The food was fine, your usual bar fare, but our waitress was outstanding! She served us with a smile on her face and let my wife and I practice our French! By the time of the fight, the place was packed! GSP won and the place went wild! A great experience made better by excellent service. The staff at La cage au sport really know how to treat tourists! I will definitely be back!

Great place to watch the game, and for families, good, the popcorn was a hit with the children and of course, if their children are loud or restless nobody will notice. However, eating is unusable and the prices will be their eyes pop. I like it for a beer with friends; but for the kitchen I would go on the road for sushi or smell.
