Caffe Tridente - TRENTO

We are Americans and were in Trento to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's Covid-era (i.e., no-reception) wedding. We had a welcome aperitivo for fifty guests at Caffe Trident and they did a wonderful job. The location is spectacular, right on the Piazza Duomo with gorgeous views of the Neptune fountain, the Duomo, and beautiful frescoes on a building across the piazza. The Caffe Trident promised to cordone off a portion of the outdoor area for us, and they did as promised, but, also, they decorated the space beautifully, something we did not expect. The food was beautifully presented, the drinks were, as well, and everything was delicious. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The large umbrellas protected us from a summer rain ... the party never stopped ... another example of the Caffe's great preparation. We heartily recommend the Caffe Trident and we thank them for a memorable evening!

Very average food, not meeting menu description expectations! My friend’s risotto with beef, walnuts and mushrooms was really boiled rice. My flat bread was rather smothered in mayo or was it a sea of mozzarella- I don’t know.

Waitress that served us extremely sour faced, even rude with our children! Ordered an expensive cocktail and wasn't even given a bowl of crisps with it, had to ask! Not good value for money at all and dubious also about the level of hygiene too!

Best bar at 30! impeccable service of fevered dennis!
