Capabilitea Cafe Trentham Gardens

This is a fantastic location for a stroll, whether you’re with children, dogs, or just other adults. There are lovely cafes lining the path and plenty of benches to rest on. The area offers both short and long hiking trails, allowing visitors to choose routes that match their skill levels. While there's not much else included, the beautiful garden at the end is definitely a highlight. I would highly recommend getting a year-round pass if you plan to visit more than once. Booking a time slot is also very easy.

The gardens were beautiful, although it was unfortunate that we couldn't visit them during the summer. The weather was fantastic, making the walk around the lake very enjoyable. I loved the various features scattered throughout the area. The layout and spacing made social distancing easy, and I noticed that people followed these guidelines in the shopping village as well. However, it wasn't quite the same in the garden center restaurant, where only a few staff members wore masks while serving customers.

Great place. Loads of space, pic nic seating and places to set up camp for a few hours or the whole day. More eating in the shopping area than in the gardens, but if you know you can plan. Rented gazebos look like a reasonable idea (could be more spaced out tbough). Good family day out, on lead dog friendly too.

Stunning beautiful, tranquil, enjoyable place to spend the day out with family, take in the scenery. Plenty of cafes and benches for pit stops on the way. Especially lived the lake side walk with interesting sculputors dotted around. The Italian Gardens were very good too though perhaps less tended than I expected except right at the top. Would definitely go again.

It was a beautiful day outside, and the gardens were stunning. The array of charming little wooden shops offering a variety of clothing, gifts, and dining options is impressive and supports small businesses. The garden center features a fantastic selection of garden and home gifts, and the two restaurants are quite lovely as well. Plus, the fact that dogs are welcome is a wonderful bonus!
