An Bhuailtin - Tralee

My partner and I went to this restaurant for dinner. I ordered the fish of the day, which was hake in a mild curry sauce, while she had the fish and chips. We both had chowder for starters. Everything was delicious and the service was quick. It was great to see the restaurant so busy.

Bar is in the hotel on main street in Ballyferriter. Great furnishings and atmosphere. Large bar with great selection and good bar tenders. Large area with table, bar, booth and high chair seating. Bar hotel food is great and the smoked salmon appetizer is a great starter or meal on its own. We had over 40 relatives there for a reunion and bar and seating was more than adequate. Based on number of locals and tourists at near end of August we could tell it was a good place.

While staying in Ballyferriter, we decided to take a stroll down the street to have dinner at a pub. The service was friendly, the seafood chowder was outstanding (packed with fish, incredibly tasty and well-seasoned), and the fish and chips were excellent. The pub offered great food at a reasonable price for the Dingle Peninsula. I would definitely return.

We had two meals here on a recent visit to the area. The staff here are very friendly and professional. The food is good bar food at a reasonable price, and the menu has a lot of variety. The place can accommodate groups as it is spacious. I would definitely go back and would recommend it.

During a drive to Dingle for a funeral, we decided to stop here for lunch. I ordered the Hake with potatoes and vegetables, which was very tasty. My husband had the Shepherd's Pie, which was also very tasty. The meal was delicious and we couldn't find any faults with it.
