Bidrage med feedbackThis diner is hard to find, the address on their business card should put them by the train tracks in the middle of town, but it's actually right next door to the Bryce Inn and across the street from the Exxon truck stop, closer to the expressway. We drove up and down Main Street, sure we were crazy till we stopped and asked a local for direction. SO glad we did, because this place fries a mean catfish! The whole town of Smith's Grove was like visiting an old friend- everywhere we went the people were gregarious, warm and welcoming- and stopping by Miss Betty's was like having that friend cook you your favorite dinner. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal, and all I could think about as I was leaving was when I would be able to come back... and since I live in Chicago, that's quite a compliment. This serendipitous stop was a real treat, I look forward to making this a regular detour in my travels along I65.
Frau betty’s was a way out of the highway diner that offers a nice opportunity to chain food to the truck stops. good house-style cookery, nothing.

Frau betty’s was a way out of the highway diner that offers a nice opportunity to chain food to the truck stops. good home style cooking, nothing that was particularly interesting, but a beautiful place for fried chicken and catfish nebblets. check the board for special and desserts. Apparently the desserts go fast, the blackberry kobler was good. the specials were in the round the same price winners on the menu, but with an additional page. many page options. small but clean toilets. the fried chicken was good, the cat was in nibbeln form and art of rubber, so no great texture. very friendly and attentive staff. when they go to the city, there are also a few very beautiful antique shops in the city.
That is not an evening theater! it is a small diner directly at the main train. if they want some local tariff friendly server, give this an attempt!
