Island Bree’z - Trabuco Canyon

Love this place. Great service. Super friendly staff. The food is amazing.

CLOSEDOWN! What the heck? After all these glowing reviews this placed is closed in just a month of being open! There 's a sign that says it 's now Flip Flop Burgers and will open March 9. Same owner? Must be because the posted burger menu (average $12 also has a few exact items that are from the other menu (poke at a burger place? So in the course of about 6 weeks it goes from Akropolis to Island Breez to Flip Flop Burger. An owner that knows little about operating a restaurant business? Bored with the menu? Makes you wonder.....And not to mention that there was a Flip Flop burger that recently closed up in Mission Viejo.

Not nearly as good as Akropolis that was here before... The owners really made a bad choice changing to this sub par, overpriced Island restaurant. I had high hopes for the Loco Moco but compared to the other local places that serve it, it 's very disappointing. Probably won 't be back

I really want to like this place but I just don't think they're ready for prime time. I went in for lunch there was a young man at the register who seemed very green and lost. The restaurant was dark, cold and not very clean. No soda machine. I ordered the lemon shrimp which was pretty good but served in a styrofoam container and drenched with sauce. The salad it came with was not very edible like straight out of a prepackaged bag. I will give them another chance but they really need to step up their game. Right now it seems very incomplete and amateur. EDIT- To Karen F. (Doesn't look like you even live in the area yet you're so passionate about this local RSM place?? It was the garlic shrimp not lemon shrimp. I still have the receipt if you doubt me... everything else is 100% accurate and MY opinion. I will try them again in a couple months hoping they have their act together.

Absolutely delicious food! Friendly staff. Marcus is the best. Word is spreading like wildfire here in Rancho Santa Margarita! I get the Coconut Shrimp, never had anything that delish! Highly recommend!
