Bidrage med feedbackWhen they go to sogawa, a place famous for sushi and sashimi, they need to taste sushi egg. from 17 o'clock to 11 o'clock many people wait outside. 3 to 4 experienced chefs serve them and they only have to order what they want and they deliver directly before them. the sushi is extremely fresh and it is amazing that the cook is written down what they eat and they just have to check the bill at the theke and the cook will tell the cash the total cost of their meal. it's really interesting! I recommend you to order the sushi one by one and not order the set as the sushi in the set may not fit for your appetit.
Very fresh and deciduous sushi. no need to wait too long if they wait there at 17 o'clock until 17:30 o'clock
Popular sushi shop mainly serving local seafoods caught in Toyama Bay. No alcohol drinks served. And please bring cash. I ordered dishes individually. Didn’t go for the set. Sweet Shrimp tastes better in Fall and Winter seasons. Ordered twice. Some of dishes are already put with salt, so didn’t need to dig soy sauce.
This place is fine for what it is— decent cost performance and easily accessible. Make no mistake though, this is casual, fast paced sushi. The ingredients or skills are not upper echelon level by any means. If you want a quick fix all good, but don’t plan your day around this or believe any of the hype reviews written by tourists.
Something is very strange with this place. Anyone who has ever had a piece of sushi would never rate this place more than three stars and yet they have a four point average with hundreds of reviews Either the owner has changed or we’re in the twilight zone. Flavor balance is way off. Local firefly squid is paired with an herb that overpowered its natural flavor. The normal white squid is not properly sliced and is tough, chewy and lacking the typical buttery sweetness. Even the fatty tuna is tough and relatively flavorless. Other pieces were very average, “conveyer sushi” level. No piece stood out in any way. Now let’s talk about presentation: the chef serves pieces in twos or threes and slaps them down in front of you with unrelated pieces touching each other. As soon as he puts them down he starts on the next pieces so they come at a furious rate. The entire Omakase lasted no more than 20 minutes. You feel rushed and stressed while eating. And there’s also no alcohol so forget about pairing but that’s a personal preference that doesn’t necessarily bother me personally. Overall it’s simply not tasty and you should avoid this place if you want to have a good sushi meal in Toyama.
