The Crackpot Seafood - Towson

Was somewhat worried seeing reviews especially the most recent ones. A Friend treated me to birthday dinner here after we went to our usual for Crab Cakes and it was closed. On a whim wind up The Crackpot. We were seated quickly. Staff was very polite friendly. Very Casual, Homey Spot located on a strip mall type area. Restaurant was clean. AC was up kinda high/cold. Lots of TV's around. Not loud. Just a handful of us in there Labor Day Sept 6, 2023 around 5pm. Food did not take that long. Nothing was hot but very warm which was alright. I got the 2 Crabcake Dinner; friend had Steak Crabcake, Broccoli, Mashed Potatoes. Also Sierra Mist a great homeade unsweetened iced tea (used Sweet Low on the table. The Crab Cakes were a nice size, looked good fried beautifully, and had plenty crabmeat a few small backfin pieces along with filler; they needed SOME FLAVOR though particulary seasoning of any kind, or Old Bay. BUT they weren't bad. Crispy fries. Coleslaw was good fresh but very oniony tasting. Steak was delicious but came well-done instead of medium- rare as asked for. Mashed Pot were tasty too. Broccoli ok. Portions for Dinners were Decent. Staff was attentive but not obtrusive. Only seemed to be 2 staff 1 Bartender empty bar. Overall not exactly THE Best ...but definitely not terrible either. Food was pretty good. Reasonable prices. Reheated my leftover 2nd Crabcake home, added some Old Bay it was Delicious AFTER BEING SEASONED.

This place is a waste of time and money the chicken tenders are awful! I give this restaurant a zero. The service was bad it took a long time for our food to get out from the kitchen. I'm not spending any more money on that place I can't believe that someone would recommend this restaurant. I'm highly upset about the food options I used my own money to pay for my paycheck.
