Zeek - Townsville

Went for breakfast, only other tables occupied. Food took over an hour, and had to remind staff twice that I was still waiting. Eggs were black on the bottom, presumably from a dirty stove. Bacon was tough and rubbery and toast was so stale...you could snap it into pieces. Coffee was good however. Would have cancelled my order if I wasn't so hungry by that stage.

Great food, great service, great menu, great atmosphere and original to boot. As mentioned by other reviewers, this cafe (named after the owner's dog Ezekiel, or Zeek for short) is dog friendly with a special area for your dog to sit outside in the shade...with water bowls provided. The food is very tasty and has plenty of vegetarian options for those so inclined. I even dare you to try their jumbo coffee, a huge whopper of a cuppa with coffee shots included and around half a litre of milk!

This is our local cafe and our only choice when we are dining out for Breakfast! We love the food and the coffee is delicious also! The staff are efficient and friendly. Consistency good food and good value.

This is now the Figtree Cafe. No longer Zeeks. New owners are trying hard but it just isn't as good as it was.
