Wild Goose Brews & Chews - Townsville

My husband & I stayed in Townsville for almost two months & decided to have a meal on our last day in the city to this restaurant. Food is good, but, the garlic bread that we ordered was just the size of a child's fist & didn't even leave a crumb in between our teeth. Had the fish N chips....it's nice & crunchy, generous portion, but, the fish was too greasy & the batter was just so thick, you can hardly see/taste the fish. We just ate the salad, chips...picked the fish meat & left the greasy batter behind. To make matters worse, we endured a tummy ache the next day. Not the best memory to take back home aye

Nice atmosphere and good tasty food. Prawn fettuccine was a highlight and kids loved that chicken wings were an option on the kids menu. Staff very friendly and helpful and prices were reasonable.

Strolling around townsville cbd, stopped at the wild goose for a beer and lunch. great meal and service. friendly staff, so we stayed on and had a great afternoon. very enjoyable pub.

A great place to eat (nothing too serious on the menu), great appearance, outside of the box thinking, great waitresses, clean toilets, and good pricing. Oh yes, and the pizza I tried for lunch was simply brilliant.

Nice atmosphere. The schnitty was awesome and the music sets the right mood ; The Goose has laid his golden egg and its here right in Townsville!
