Fish n chip delights - Townsville

I'm very fussy about my fish n chips but this little shop was a pleasant surprise. Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. We had the fishermans basket and the portion size was huge. The menu board said it came with of chips and the flyer on the counter said serve so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very happy. It was a generous scoop. The battered fish was still crisp by the time we got to our eating destination. I liked that we were offered the choice of normal salt or chicken salt. Very impressive.

The staff are great and the fish and chips are the best in Townsville. My father in law who comes from Brisbane says they are the best fish and chips hes ever tasted... he's years old....

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. They were dripping in oil so much so they couldn’t be put on the car seat as the oil had soaked through the paper wrapping. They were the strangest colour,orange batter,they were inedible,straight in the bin. I...certainly do nor recommend this place

We had crumbed fish and chips and some battered mussels. Really good portion sizes. The battered mussels were too overdone but the mussel batter was nice and tasty and not too oily. The chips were ok, just the regular type of pre-purchased fish shop chips,...not home made. The fish was cooked well.

Been four times, the first two in not busy times, the food was great. The other two times at busy times, the chips seemed re-heated and the mackerel was a bit dry. Good service so maybe just pick your time to visit.
