Bidrage med feedbackGood vibes. Congenial staff. Food is whatever. The portions weren’t bad in my opinion. However, the quality of the food is where I’m docking points. The gnocchetti ‘Al Tocco’ was bitter and unpleasant. The Prospect Burger tasted like the restaurant sourced their burger patties from the grocery frozen section. The sourdough bread wasn’t free, but it was worth it. The winter citrus salad was the best part of my meal. The cocktails were small considering the price, but otherwise not much else to complain about. I wish this restaurant was better. My stay at Scribner’s lodge was wonderful. It just sucks that this is the restaurant that’s attached to the lodge.
I recently dined at Prospect Restaurant during my 3-day stay at Scribner's Lodge in the Catskills, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The service was really lacking; the staff seemed super confused at every course, which made the evening frustrating. The cost was surprisingly high for what we received, and to make matters worse, they were out of not just one, but two dishes on their already limited menu. As a vegetarian, it was especially challenging to find suitable options, and while the food we did manage to order was good, it fell short of being great. On a positive note, my husband enjoyed the burger. We had a $100 credit towards the restaurant which softened the blow a bit, but if I had been paying full price for the meal, I would have been more disappointed with the overall experience.
One of the worst restaurants that I've ever visited. Food was okay. I tried the burger and the taste was good even though the beef patty was a little bit raw. My family tried the tuna melted, that one was bland; the masa pancakes were horrible no taste. Drinks were OK also but the price is so expensive if we talk about quality. The service was the worst. Also I asked for coffee and they didn't gave me sugar or spoon. At the end they didn't even asked if we wanted something else before bringing the check.
This is a very nice spot in the middle of the Catskills Mountain region. Dinner was great but not quite excellent to warrant 5 stars. The Garden Salad featured locally grown vegetables from their garden, or so we were told. The toasted sunflower seeds were a nice touch. I ordered the Highland Hallow Pork Chop for my entree. Thought tasty, the cut I received was a bit difficult to eat as it was very fatty. I tend to like some fat on the meat but it was a little too much. The sides of shishito peppers and potatoes were excellent. I really enjoyed the olive oil cake for dessert. I would come here again to try other offerings.
Phenomenal. Every single thing we ate here for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing. Even the greek yogurt at breakfast blew me away. We ordered a bunch of sides at dinner as appetizers— definitely the way to go. The more you can try here, the better because everything is so unique and so exceptionally done. Just order everything you possibly can so you can talk about it for days, months and years later. And of course, the ambiance is top notch.
