Bidrage med feedbackWe were here for one night and had dinner. The staff was professionally helpful. They had fled from ribs that were annoying (we were not a late booking we arrived at 8:00). However, the alternative steak was well cooked. Two of us had fish a dish was cod forestiere, which was unusual but pleasant. Overall, the Essen Ambiente was good.
This is a beautiful place to eat on a summer evening, to sit outside in the warm evening. The food and drink in the offer are of good quality, they can even make a steak well, not seen by those in France. if you stay at the hotel... this is the best place to eat, not many good options without 10min's plus, so good work the hotel restaurant is good.
We came to lunch to see how it was. The lunch menu was easy, take or leave. A beginner, a main course, a desert. It was 20 euros if you were all 3 or 15 euros if you... 2. Not as a fanatic of choice, we decided to eat from the menu. I guess this has raised more interest in us as we let the cook come to explain what it was about (very good English speakers). We ate of the appetizers, main dishes and deserts plus coffee and 1/2 caffeine of wine. All this came to 90 euros, which is definitely more than most restaurants on site. The quality was very good, and there were definitely no complaints. But it is a pity that the lunch menu cannot be extended to give a bit of a choice.
OK, they invest in good decoration, including fireplace, ambience, etc. The food is pretty good when a bit standardized. Why is the service always so poor? It's not hard to rent or train people to be customer-friendly or is it?
