Cosmopolitan - Toulouse

Rude waiter. untrained staff. I arrived alone to meet my friends. the waiter seemed like a bouncer and engaged in annoying discussion that taught me. I joined my friends and it was pretty okay, but then came up and utensils over my head without warning. I'm sure it's better to visit places.

After a meal in toulouse we visited cosmopolitan. it was very full to be a Friday night, and the bouncer asked us to wait a few minutes before he entered, saw us up and down, which seemed strange, as many people looked at. were trainers inside so there was no dress code problem. once inside, the basement opens to a larger bar room that had a dj and many tables around the outside of the wall. we have a table and enjoyed the atmosphere as there are many people drinking and dancing. we had every cocktail, a sex on the beach and a long island ice tee. service was very fast and personal was friendly, but the drinks were so not measured in wine glasses and at 9 € were not the cheapest. that said bar has a nice ambiente and soundtrack. would return for another visit.

My husband and I had heard this bar/restaurant had good steak. We were able to visit Toulouse at the last minute for a romantic weekend. We were prepared to enjoy our night and dinner. Upon arriving we were told they could seat us in about...30 minutes and that we could have a drink at the bar. So far, so good. We entered the bar area and found two open stools at the end. We were evidently invisible to the multiple bar tenders, so we found our own drink menus. After several more minutes a bar tender finally looked at us, instead of through us. We ordered margaritas, which were both good and strong. When we paid, the bartender left the credit card terminal with us for several minutes. We had to get his attention before he came to fetch it back. As we are sitting their enjoying our drinks another bar tender appears and rudely tells us we have to move. No apologies, just move. People that were there before us, but who went outdoors to smoke are back and want their spot... Now, this would've been something to tell us before we sat down...or when we ordered...not after we have been comfortably sitting here for 15 minutes. After we tried to explain to another bar tender that this was rude, terrible service, we decided to leave. They couldn't have cared less. Clearly their regulars bring in enough business. As a visitor to Toulouse I would steer clear.

Popped in for cocktails prior to going out for lunch, as it was just across from our hotel. Oh boy did we feel out of place – it’s a little bit too trendy!! It was full of the beautiful people, including the waiter! We were...in early evening before it got too busy and were treated with disdain by the waiter (I think because we were English … although we spoke French to him, or because were “old” or because we weren’t beautiful … or all 3!!! . Cocktails were nice but very small – came to €18 – I’d say try somewhere else!
