Very good restaurant. Warm welcome and service up. Framework and cleanliness of the restaurant more than positive. I recommend refined dishes, 100% fish restaurant. Desert a very gourmet coffee. Chocolate melts a pleasure. If you are in the Toulon area, address not to be missed.
Tuesday, January 28, 2020, noon lunch. It's been a while since I came to lunch in this restaurant that's one of Toulon's oldest, since 1862. Before going further, this is the maximum score on TripAdvisor, 5 stars! You who are looking for a romantic place, a hidden gem, to surprise the loved one or to thank a very good customer, no longer look! This is the big class, we start with the location, right next to the Opera, then we enter by a very bright veranda that it even gives on a very chic, spacious and very comfortable interior room. At first sight, you can see that each detail has been processed, the tables are superbly well erected, and yes the great game! Cotton napples and towels are accompanied by very beautiful glasses mounted on foot, with very design blankets. The table is not missing because there is a very practical dessert. The decoration is punctuated with contemporary canvases, speakers broadcast classical music that give the final touch to a gourmet immersion. The welcome is warm, the service is worthy of the greatest names of the restoration, with this little more than I love and that I call conviviality. It's classy, without being ruined. Let's now talk about my gustative experience, I've selected the discovery menu, it's a very good compromise. I started this meal with a mouth amusement composed of gambas, Saint James walnuts and mushrooms, then at the entrance, 6 fine oysters of Claire N°2, fresh and fleshy with this iodized flavor, I then chained with the dish I chose in the proposals, Santiago mixed with fondue and risotto. I invite you to look at the photo because we immediately find that there is a real chef in the kitchen, the presentation is perfect, the kitchen allows to appreciate the taste and flavor of each ingredient, it is simply sublime, a perfect mastery for a wohaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... This deserves a high-level opinion, saying it's very good, can't retransmit my feeling. When I say our restaurateurs are talented, it's not just a sentence. Congratulations, you're chief! I finished my meal with an pineapple Clafoutis home, who went like a little Jesus with velvet pants and ended with a coffee served with a small mandian and a financier. The total addition is 41 euros! What is described above is similar to the gastronomic discount! An outstanding value for money for the restaurant Au Sourd. It's one of the best restaurants in Toulon. Bravo to the whole team, you're great!
A nice discovery this noon! A very friendly welcome, a cozy environment and delicious dishes. The ideal cocktail to spend a good time enjoying its taste buds.
What remains of this evening is the feeling of being welcomed perfectly. Whether by our host who has done everything so that the moment is pleasant for our children and we or even the chef who has reorganized his dishes so that we can almost taste everything by sharing. Friture, octopus salad, tuna tataki with appropriate flavours, gambas, dorade tartare. A restaurant around the fish that will become stage in Toulon for us.
