Acquachiara Porto Frailis - Tortoli

. The restaurant has a breathtaking view of the bay of Porto Frailis. Being a vegetarian I booked in advance in order to give the chef the opportunity to organize. Unfortunately the proposal is always the same :Winter, cheese, colurgiones. The very tasty cheeses and perhaps the overly abundant portion, it is not worth the same speech for the baked vegetables and potatoes with rosemary, baby portions. Fish dishes, according to my husband, very tasty with fresh fish. I would have liked more attention for those who do not eat meat or fish, vegetarian cuisine is other. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful seafront location, beautiful atmosphere, excellent raw material, friendly and helpful staff, good selection of wines, good care in the presentation of the dishes. I would recommend to the Chef to have more affiliated knives in order to better cure tartare, very good, but not well separated and a little as big as pieces.

The first seafood platter of €33! contained 3 oysters (not loosned from the shel), 3 gambas (tasteless and full of guts), and 2 langoustines (just raw cutted open and didn't even bother to take out the intestial tract). Too bad to see the basic techniques of a chef not being acquired at this place. After questioning we were told they always serve this dish completely raw. A bit disappointed about the taste we could understand this. After the first dish this had some hope for the main course. The maincourse of fish and a pasta was even worse. The pasta was taistless and the confit of yellow cherrytomatoes did not live up to expectations as this was not a confit. Furthermore the fish of the other dish was full of bones. Again gambas full of intestials. After complaining about this the plate was taken away and never heared anything about it. Not even after the same person came back to the table. We drank a cocktail after and were helped by a really nice waiter that helped us also in the beginning of the evening. Luckily this waiter made our night more fun and helped us in a good way. This is not the same person to whom the complaint was submitted Unfortunatley we had to wait for the extremely high bill for more than 20 minutes after asking 3 times. This nice place with seaview cannot live up to the expectations and prices due to the bad food that is been served here. Yours.

One of the best places in the Ogliastra region to enjoy the beach view and perfect for smart working as well.

We came here for a drink before going out for dinner and thought it was perfectly nice. We sadly missed the sunset views as we got there late, but the drinks were nice (mojito and local beer). Slightly more expensive than the average in this area but also not extortionate.
