Giovanni’s Pizzeria - Torrington

For diners with another pair. Place was nice, comfortable, good atmosphere. You can eat indoors or outdoors on a beautiful terrace. I had the stuffed ****. It was tasty, under salt, what I like, so I can season myself. It was a double bone with capping, so there was a lot of food. The staff was friendly and attentive. Bill was $130 for two of us, but it was a birthday party with lots of drinks.

Had a great meal with some friends. Jenna, our server was top notch. Very friendly, great service. The atmosphere was fabulous. We'll be back.

Bachi? same restaurant, crew and menu, but you will see significant price increases. Here on a Monday evening for our anniversary dinner and was surprised that it is the same place with a new name. A couple sat at the bar with a young child? 2 women at the bar loudly conversate and throw obscenes, a moss makes shots at his end of the bar with the waitress? This is definitely not the upscale restaurant for which it tries to appear or calculate people. The owner approached at the end of the meal and asked how it was. We answered and explained our concerns, and he laughed and said: next time will we hide you in a stand?. We will not return.

A non-smoking was never a problem for me in a restaurant until I went to giovanni’s. I've never been before, but decided to try it with friends. the first thing I noticed was that the bartender seemed very intoxicated. she practiced on a way and wise as I could not follow as if she continued a story I had already begun to hear. I saw her castings for customers and gave one herself too. She poured herself blind huge bowls, drank half of it and left her around the bar. She even left an empty glass in front of me and never cleared it. she braggte she had just poured a round and made a shot when we came in as if the middle-aged adult was impressing. When she asked me what I wanted, I said a club soda, she rolled her eyes on me and went away. From there she wouldn't look at me or ask if I wanted something. but she was attentive to my friends who had ordered drinks. after about ten minutes, when my friends had cocktails, she passed, looked away and put down my drink, refused to even acknowledge that someone was in a place. She went over to someone who heard of me and complained that I didn't drink. So when they go there, they know that they are badly treated when they think they hurt their tipp or reduce the potential of a bill, and they should go soon as the bartender is in danger of drinking the profits that are not spilled on the bar. I wanted to eat and buy drinks for my friends before I was treated so badly. funny, I decided to.

We were extremely disappointed in the customer service (or lack thereof) we received at Giovanni?s. There was very little communication between the staff and us. We had to ask for drink refills, if the food was coming (we waited between apps and meal for 30 min), and for the check/boxes. There was no checking in to see if we needed anything. Only giving 2 stars because the food was decent. Perhaps our business wasn?t wanted? ????We won?t be back.
