Bidrage med feedbackIt's a standard menu and the service is fine. Nice to see the estuary but noisy traffic if you sit outside . On the value end so it's OK
We went in this afternoon to have a hot chocolate, knowing the place does not shut until 5. Although our drinks were lovely, the staff were closing around us, making us feel very unwelcome and unwanted. I get that it was quiet but maybe don’t make it so obvious that you don’t want customers there? Especially when you’re not meant to be closing for another hour and a half.
This place has the most amazing food, delicious homemade cakes, fab ice cream shakes and yummy fruit smoothies! The staff here are super friendly and it is one of my favourite places to visit when I’m in Bideford
We like latte and lunch and pop in for coffee on a regular basis.sometimes have a jacket potato or panini if we are there lunchtimes. The coffee is very good, and 35p cheaper than the coffee shop on the other end of the quay. The food is fresh and tasty and very well priced. You can sit inside or out,and they always have the newspapers and supplements on Saturdays. There is a young chap works there, who I havent seen for a couple of weeks so Im hoping he hasnt left because he is a super little worker, and really friendly and chatty.Unfortunately the older ladies in there, think they are possibly the owners, need some customer service training.Very abrupt and unfriendly manner when serving,no greeting when you come in the door or when being served. As a local,it really puts me off.My other gripe is,altho there are sachets of sugar on the tables outside, the sugar on the tables inside are sugar lumps which are pretty unhygenic.I saw a small child one Saturday running her hands through the bowl, too many people handling, breathing ,sneezing, coughing over these for my liking.Otherwise its a good place for coffee, breakfast, light lunch
Great quayside cafe offering a variety of light meals, sandwiches, cakes, etc. At the time of our visit on a sunny Sunday lunchtime it was very busy but service was still friendly and efficient. The sandwiches were freshly prepared on granary or white bread and were very good. Well worth visiting, particularly on a Sunday when many other cafes in Bideford do not open.
