Pizzeria Cristoforo - TORRE DEL GRECO

Okay so we stumbled upon a review of this on Yelp which was as follows... Never written a Yelp review before today but had to show some (English) support for Pizzeria Cristoforo. While this is probably not the absolute best pizza in/around Napoli...it certainly qualifies as AMAZING by any North American standard and the overall experience was the best of any pizzeria I visited during 2 weeks in Italy. At 10PM on a Friday night, the place was PACKED with families. probably 50 kids running around the place...and not another tourist in sight. If you 're looking for hip chic, this is not your best bet. It proved to be a FANTASTIC family oriented experience that showed us what Friday night looks like in Italy well beyond the glow of tourist lights. We walked in and quickly looked clueless. While the restaurant works on a sort of self serve/cafeteria style model, a 15 year old bus boy took pity on us and basically picked out pizzas, appetizers, drinks, and desserts for our group of four. He took care of us from start to finish. We were entertained and well fed on a Friday night...all for €30. On the short list for highlight of the trip. OKAY NOW TO OUR REVIEW Incredibly our experience was similar to the above with far less kids on our visit, but great food, great interaction with our hosts despite the language barriers and overall an amazing experience. They fussed over our two year old daughter who incidentally had a great time playing with a little Italian boy at a nearby table. It really is amazing how such a low key pizzeria can provide one of the best experiences of our trip it all comes down to great hosts, great food, great value and the adventure of it all.

Grand concept pittoresque et local. Vous vous sentez vraiment en italia au milieu des habitants. Les pizzas sont succulentes, accueil chaleureux, je recommande fortement et fortement.

La pizza è ottima, la frittura è ottima, il posto è eccellente nel verde del Vesuvio, il dolce è ottimo e il prezzo è ottimo. Tutto fantastico.

A large is really a 3 foot long rectangle of excellent pizza! This is a very casual place but the food is good and inexpensive. I ordered a glass of wine for 2.50 euros and a jug appeared which certainly could have served 2-3 people!
