Surfside Patisserie - Torquay

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant on a Sunday with family members from overseas. We were impressed with the delicious sausage rolls and homemade cakes. They absolutely loved the food! The quality was excellent and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. The service was also very friendly. In fact, my wife went back later in the day to buy a lemon cake for one of our children's birthdays. She said it was delicious and well worth the money, just like the lamingtons we had tried earlier.

The cakes, pastries, and sausage rolls at this restaurant are delicious, but be prepared for them not to be served hot. They have consistently been lukewarm over the past year, which can be disappointing as they are much better when enjoyed hot. Many customers have had to reheat their food at home before serving it to their families. This can be a bit inconvenient for those looking for a quick lunch option. Additionally, the prices are quite high for what you receive, making it not the best value for a lunch option. It seems that tourists who don't have the option to reheat their food may end up having a similar experience. The owner should consider listening to feedback to improve the dining experience.

The most delicious jam-filled doughnuts I have ever tasted (and I have tried many!). They are also great value for money. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is not overly formal. Definitely worth a visit for the delicious food!

The baked, cookies and cakes are so tempting and there are so many small decisions, only for a wonderful taste. coffee is also pretty good.

They have the most delicious little cakes and tarts! We love coming here to get some sunday afternoon tea treats. Fresh, delicious and always friendly service. It's nice to have an actual patisserie in town which is not a big franchise that delivers frozen or...pre-packaged goods.
