Bidrage med feedbackSitting through the fire pit was nice for our birthday party and the incredible kim actually went to the effort, a little cheesecake with sparkling and beautifully made calligraphy that delights the birthday boy! will be back to living room and skylight as often as possible, w blows her magic on midtown toronto and we are all thrilled!
The food in this afternoon tea was not worth the money, especially as we had to prepay and an automatic 18% tip was included. We have had afternoon tea in many top Toronto Hotels, but this was the most expensive and no where near the best. Some of us were still hungry at the end.
The decor, menu, and music at this place is great. We were expecting it to be a full scene on a Thursday night but there were only a handful of people there. We were told that this is because of the month (January) and that there is usually more people at the lounge during festive times of the year and summers.
We wanted to seat on the regular seats downstairs but instead they put us on some chairs upstairs where you can barely see anything and when you tell them they’ll ignore you and you have to ask lots of personals for your seat downstairs where you are supposed to seat and they’ll come to you saying oh we’re all booked after you had all your drinks and food. So frustrating. Didn’t enjoy much and wouldn’t be visiting there anymore.
Seemed like the place was understaffed. There was a wait time of an hour and 15 minutes between 4th 5th course. The 1st course also took an hour to be served. Almost 4 hours in, we asked them to just pack the final 2 courses.
