The rustic decor and French music playing in the background immediately transported us to a quaint café in Paris. We ordered the duck confit and the beef bourguignon, both of which were absolutely divine. The flavors were rich and decadent, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that made all the travel mishaps worth it. Highly recommend Chez Marie for a taste of France in the heart of Canada.
I have only been to this restaurant for brunch, but it was fantastic! I tried the "Chilaquiles in Red Sauce and Eggs" and absolutely enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was wonderful.
I came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The restaurant was lovely and the staff were excellent. I decided to order the Cobb salad and it exceeded my expectations.
We went for brunch yesterday at this local restaurant and I was really looking forward to trying their famous bacon waffles and fried chicken. What a disappointing experience!First, we asked the server for a few more minutes to decide on drinks and she didn't come back. We had to actually say "excuse me" very loudly a couple of times for her to come to finally take our order. The second server came to our table not knowing what drinks we ordered and brought me a coffee when I ordered orange juice. The meals didn't take long to be delivered to the table but the food was lack lustre. If you are going to claim infamy on your bacon waffles then for goodness sake put bacon in them! I could count the tiny pieces of bacon in both waffles on one hand! The fried chicken was crispy but under seasoned and the meat looked grey -not fresh. At the end of our meal, the server took a while to clear our plates. We actually pushed them aside into plain view before she came to collect them, and then we ended up having to ask for our bill. The owners were hanging around the entire time, but I guess they could care less about patron experience.Maybe it was an off day but with the combination of poor service and disappointing food, I cannot recommend this establishment for brunch.
I had the New England Benny and my wife had the egg and chorizo quesadilla. Both were delish. Coffee was tasty and the service was quick and attentive. The place wasn't full which seemed odd at peak brunch time on a Sunday. Nice décor and it was a sunny day which was a bonus.
