Sushi Couture - Toronto

A friend and I went to this place to catch up because she was craving sushi The venue is quite niceIt has a romantic, dim light setting.

Great place - sushi is awesome - good service - nice atmosphere !! I would recommend this place over any other in the area .

We used to dine at this restaurant frequently, as we found the quality to be better than other options on the same street. However, during our most recent visit, we were disappointed to find that the food did not meet our expectations. We have learned from experience that when sushi doesn't taste right, it's best to avoid it altogether. Unfortunately, we ended up discarding our entire meal after taking it home. The tempura was overcooked, the broccoli was burnt and dried out, and the sushi had a strange, wet texture. Additionally, the salad dressing had spoiled. If it hadn't been takeout, we would have returned everything for a refund. We won't be returning to this restaurant, as it was much less busy than usual, with only one table occupied on a busy night. It seems that there may be new management in place with lower standards than before.

There is no question that this is the best sushi restaurant in the Annex. The fish is always fresh and the chef is one of the best in Toronto. It is a bit pricier than the other sushi restaurants in the same area but it is definitely worth it. You cannot compare the quality of the food with the other restaurants in the Annex such as Sushi on Bloor, Next Generation, Japan Sushi, etc. Also, I am always impressed by the friendliness and kindness of the chef. You will certainly enjoy the food here.
