Pizza Banfi - Toronto

Pizza Banfi is a wonderful Italian restaurant located on Lonsdale, offering a sophisticated atmosphere to enjoy their delicious cuisine in the St. Clair West area. My top picks are the beet caprese salad and the penne primavera loaded with vegetables. And don't forget to save room for dessert! Bon appétit!

Upon entering the restaurant, we saw 2 groups ahead of us. My friend and I were welcomed by Nino immediately. He was honest and informed us that we were 3rd in line with a potential 30-minute wait. Despite this, we decided to wait. Nino promptly started working to seat people as quickly as possible. He was attentive and polite, even offering us a plate of Bruschetta while we waited. Throughout our wait, he kept us informed, which is more than what many hosts or managers typically do. We were seated within the estimated 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn't quiet but not overly loud either, making it a friendly atmosphere, even if not ideal for a romantic dinner on a Friday night at 8 PM. Our waiter was friendly and amusing. We started with the Caprese salad, followed by my friend's fish of the day dish and my fettucini rapini. I requested no sausage in my dish, with the waiter happily substituting artichoke. The pasta was perfectly al dente, which is crucial for me as I dislike overcooked pasta. Perhaps being Italian gives me extra credibility? For dessert, we shared a Tartuffo, which was exactly what I was craving. The food was fantastic, portions were generous, and the staff was very kind. What stood out to me was how Nino and the staff made us feel welcome and appreciated from the beginning. My bill, including the Caprese salad, pasta, a large bottle of San Pellegrino, and Tartuffo, came to about $45. Despite the cost, I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to saving up to return. I also posted this review on Yelp because I was genuinely impressed and felt it was well-deserved. For payment, only major credit cards or cash are accepted. No debit, Interac, or American Express. Cash is king.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is very friendly and comfortable. It gets very busy after 6 pm. Overall, the quality is excellent.

The food here is amazing! My absolute favourite Italian restaurante in all of the city of Toronto The service is always amazing as well, they treat you like family here everything it never fails. I highly recommend this Resturant this is a must if your visiting Toronto!

A lovely experience at our local Forest Hill Village Italian Restaurant #PizzaBanfi . Reservations are strongly encouraged, and we tried to make one but we ended up going there anyway and waited for a table to open. We were treated very well, and received some complimentary #Bruschetta which was brimming with #Garlic and fresh tomatoes, as we waited at the bar area. When a table opened we had great personal service and great conversation with the wait staff. We ordered a lovely Sangiovese red wine to go with the meal. The #wine was a great way to start, and then added to the lovely flavors of the meal. My husband ordered the #PennePollo Chicken, sun dried tomatoes in a pesto cream sauce. It was fabulous. Great flavor and a lovely, creamy basil sauce. I ordered the #LinguiniLimone Olive oil and lemon juice, with basil and fresh grated parmigiano. Lemon zest gave great lemon flavor and the tang from the cheese was delightful. My husband loved trying my linguini that he said he’d get it on out next visit. The food was so fresh and flavorful even when made with simple ingredients. Definitely will want to return to Pizza Banfi and try more dishes, drink more wine, and experience the great personal service.
