Pickle Barrel Leslie St - Toronto

The food was very good. Service was a bit slow considering the restaurant was not too busy when we arrived. As we were a large party of 10, we were seated in an area that was accommodating and a bit secluded that allowed us to talk freely and not have to speak too loudly. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and had no issues splitting the bill in three.

Tried something new this time. From the local menu: grilled beef mushrooms. It was as though they emptied an entire jar of whole peppercorns into the sauce and on the plate. Really over the top and overpowering. Kept crunching down on handfuls of them with every bite. Extremely difficult to eat, and I couldn 't pick them all out. Ended up with terrible indigestion. Out of character for Pickle Barrel. Normally I get the maple salmon, which is excellent. A nice place for a family dinner, but will avoid anything with the peppercorn sauce in the future.

Waited for a server for about 10 minutes, place not busy and when she came to take our drink order, she then stopped to hug and chat with other customers took their order and brought water for them, none was offered to us

This location is the worst location ever. Our waitress was ok but the food, ambiance, value was garbage. I ordered the Maple sugar salmon with rice and they literally filled up my plate with rice and a piece of salmon in the middle with no veggies side dishes or anything (who eats like that) my husband’s pasta dish had a hair strand on top of the goat cheese. His food came when all of us were done eating. Very horrible and we won’t be back at this location. Yonge and Eglinton or Yonge and Dundas locations are the BEST! Don’t go to this one it’s horrible

Food was subpar this time around. The service was good and attentive. Usually the food is better, but 3 of 7 guests in our party were not impressed. Will not be coming back for special occasions.
