Bidrage med feedbackI visited this restaurant located inside a Loblaws shop, although I initially thought it was a standalone store. I spent some time exploring and trying to find the entrance. The menu consisted of items like waffles, crackers, and donuts with the main attraction being Nutella. The concept involved cutting a donut and generously layering it with Nutella, or spreading thick layers of Nutella on waffles or crepes and topping them with slices of bananas. It was a delicious idea that I plan to recreate at home.
To start, this restaurant is located in a small corner of a grocery store so don't expect anything fancy. We visited on a weekday and were the only customers there. We tried a crepe and some pastries, which were all pretty good. However, we had some issues with one of the employees. Our order was incorrect, but it was all Nutella-based so we didn't complain. The female employee at the counter kept asking us if we were American when we tried to pay with our credit cards, which was unnecessary as we had been using them all day without any issues in Canada. Eventually, we had to pay with a different method after multiple attempts with our cards. Another employee later took my sister's credit card without asking if she was American, and it worked just fine. Another customer also seemed frustrated with the original employee for causing problems with their order. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and we will not be returning.
I had high expectations for this café, but unfortunately, it did not meet them. The pictures were a bit misleading, as the café is nothing special. We visited on a Saturday night at 6:30 PM and found that the baked goods were cold. We ordered the last donut, which was stale and not worth the $2.10 price. The café felt more like a quick lunch spot near the supermarket. They had two sizes of Nutella glasses available for purchase, but I was disappointed to find that they didn't have mini sizes for gift-giving. Some of the shelves were empty, and overall, it felt like just another supermarket with someone making crepes. I would not recommend this café, especially if you have to travel far to get there. I do not plan on returning in the future.
As a motherella lover and addiction, this was my first visit to a Nutella Cafe. I enjoyed the Hazelnut Latte and Nutella filled pastries. The crepe was particularly delicious! A bit expensive but worth a visit at least once:
It was horrible, there was no way to get in the bathroom and I was visiting with a person in a wheelchair. The deserts were nothing great, they don't put that much of Nutella in a crepe. The employees were the worst persons, one of...them throw 3 crepes to the trash can because she didn't know how to do one. There's no Nutella beverage, there was no Nutella ice cream. They don't have decaf coffee, they don't have lactose free milk, the cappuccino was awful. It's not worth to travel all the way to downtown just to visit this thing because they don't have nothing of Nutella, they just have like a few croissants and Danish, so if you want bread, there are a lot of better bakeries in Toronto downtown.
