Marcello's Pizzeria - Toronto

We were a party of 3 and got seated right away (7:30 at night). Server was friendly and kind, but could have been more communicative. We had caprese salad, a pizza and a pasta which we shared between us. All the food was really good! We make wood oven pizza at home so the bar is set high and they did a great job. The fettuccine with a cream sauce, chicken and porcini mushrooms was awesome. The challenge was my wife can't have onions and the waiter was supposed to check with the kitchen but never came back with an answer nor ordered the pasta so we had to flag him down, confirm the onion thing and then place the order and wait.. Not a huge deal in the end but could have been better. He was very helpful otherwise so think that was enough to warrant giving a nigher rating.

My wife and I visited Marcello's by just stumbling upon it on our way out of Canada after a long trip. Honestly, we had quite a few bad restaurant experiences during our trip and were considering just waiting to get fast food on the road. But because our trip was going to be long, we said why not?We walked in, and it was just so worth it. There was no wait, they accomodated for our infant son (which is always a bonus), and the food was great. We had a bruschetta pizza as a starter which was very fresh and straight out of the brickoven. Our pastas were very good (seafood fettuccine and sausage orechettie) and our server was very nice. If we happen to be in that area again, we will definitely go back!!!

Came with family for a birthday dinner. The service was great, and the food was outstanding as usual. Had the Insalata Mista Salad, Ravioli but added Chicken, Rose wine and a must have is the Tiramisu, and a Double Expresso.Everyone enjoyed their meals and the ambience and vibe was very inviting.Great experience we'll be back again!Come before 6 or after 8 on most nights as they don't take reservation.TE

Came to this restaurant after being severely neglected at DeSotos down the street. We had been waiting an hour for our entrees there and left without receiving any service or food. Clearly, we were hungry and a bit grumpy.We were sat immediately even though the restaurant was packed. Our server took our order quickly, served us complimentary bread and we received our appetizer within 5 minutes of ordering it. Our entrees followed shortly after we had finished our appetizer. Despite being busy, we felt that our server was extremely attentive and professional. The food was hot and cooked to perfection. I would definitely return to this establishment. It turned the whole night from negative to positive for us!

Over all, a fantastic neighborhood spot. This place is well know for its Woodburning thin crust pizzas and has a wide variety menu choices. Family friendly, great service and the value is amazing.
