Bidrage med feedbackOverall a bit disappointing. It’s been a few years since I’ve been. The service has fallen significantly. This used to be a very special night with exceptional service. We were pressured to order immediately. Our appetizers were prompt and delicious. But the steaks took 45 min and we almost missed the start of the game. The steaks were excellent and cooked perfectly but overpriced. We had a medium valued wine and the bill was well over $300 for two people. The place was packed and noisy, which I don’t mind, but I guess popularity leads to complacency. Our server seemed distracted and insincere and had no idea what was going on in the kitchen. It’s a fun experience eating so close to the action with the option of returning at intermission but I sincerely hope improvements are made. The Hot Stove used to be a memorable evening and a reprieve if the glorious Leafs didn’t happen to win
I've eaten here several times prior to the Raptors game and it has always been a great experience. This time around .... Not so much. Rack of lamb was chewy, server didn't know his alcohol offerings, and service seemed to be spotty at best.
Really loud restaurant. We were yelling at each other by the end of the meal. 3 out of 4 meals were good. The fourth meal was just a tough steak especially for a AAA Striploin. All the meals were tasty.
I wasn’t going to add comment here but reconsidered since discussions with others that had exact same opinion. Terrible service! Way too many tables with barely enough room to squeeze through to sit at your own table. Not enough servers as waiter was impossible to find and when the food finally arrived it was cold. Wine ordered by the glass wasn’t what was ordered. Costly Lesson learned. Ask them to bring the bottle and pour at your table. When brought to servers attention that the wine was not what ordered.... he shrugged and said it was. Cost of dinner did not reflect what you should easily expect. Apparently, its understood to be a place to be seen. If that’s what you believe order a bottle of wine, to be sure you get what you are paying for, and enjoy the eye candy if there are any. Oh, after completing a Hot Stove survey stating what I wrote here, they kindly offered a free appetizer for our NEXT visit. There are many wonderful restaurants in Toronto to enjoy before a game.
Great and really good food. Timing was perfect to enjoy the dinner and get down for the game
