George's BBQ - Dundas E. - Toronto

A charming chef reminiscent of Gordon Ramsay runs the show at this restaurant. They offer fresh and prepared meals for takeout. The space is clean, but could use a fresh coat of paint. They only accept cash, but have an ATM on site. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. However, the lack of a debit machine resulted in a lower rating from me and I may not be returning soon.

This restaurant is still the best in the city. I was surprised to hear that they don't stay open late until 4 o'clock. It used to be the place to go for clubbing. I tried the pasta and it was glorious. I need to try everything again and the fries are still the best in town.

Not the best experience I had with huh in the city. ordered collection via the online system. very basic order whole huh, pfund ribs medium fries $50. I have not seen that there is a combo special for some dollar more for a much better deal with some better add-ons to increase my mistake. but this was not offered to me as I prepaid by credit card (I guess) when I picked up the food, the guy behind the theke was not aware that my command said his ipad was down so that I had to prove the order that it was all on my handy. he fulfilled the order quickly when other patrons came to the facility to get their meal. Of course there is no sitting area while I waited, and sat on milk boxes, I could look around the restaurant is ggrimy and old, and could really use some updates. Once I got it home, the huh was cooked well. it was cut into quarters. the ribs were not the bbq ripening that I expected they were in a tomato sauce. the best part of the meal were the pommes. if I come back, it could be for a chicken sandwich based on the reviews of others here.

Great food but this place is absolutely disgusting. Have a look at the glass container that holds the chicken. It has duct tape on it, the place needs a major renovation. Very nice people that operate the place, but very cheap and will not put any money into it.

Very frequent costumer for 6 years of all George's BBQ locations.Last couple of times I have visited this store, I have had problems but haven't complained.However, last one was THE WORST...I purchased 2 entire chickens and some sides to take out and both of them were SUPER BAD. Anyone could eat or even smell the chicken. We had to throw them entirely!! They cooked and sold SPOILED food!!Not planning to go there anymore, eventhough I live close.Highly recommend purchasing from the other locations, owners are friendlier and stores are cleaner too.
