District Eatery - Toronto

Only had a small side to eat here, but it was delicious! the balcony is a really nice place to sit in the summer.

Vegan options or dinges that can be made vegan are clearly marked. burger and pommes were great!

The descriptions of the vegan dishes made me really excited to taste this place, I got the caesar salad and kale tahini caesar. the “cheese” on the cauliflower and beet bacon on my salat were exceptional! in a city where vegan options seem to be everywhere, I would recommend to eat on sites with more unique options than just salates and Buddha bowls.

There are many clearly labeled vegan options on the menu (they are all in blue colored text), so it is easy to know what they can order. that said eating is not amazing. I had the “meat” lobster and it was not too tasteful. I think it was a soy-based “meat” without much. the “potatoes” next to the “meat” lobe were picking, which was tasty but not what I expected. because of the price and the situation I could see that I go back, but would like to see more tasteful meal times.

Our second time in the district this time with the children. both are picky, but impressed with their meals. our server was very attentive, pleasant and happy. will come back.
