Bidrage med feedbackFood tastes okay (I guess) but I've certainly had much better sushi at a fraction of the price. $250 later my date and I were still hungry and went elsewhere after for more filling food. If you're in to taking pictures for the Gram or TikTok to look likeyou're cool, then I suppose you'll have a good time. If you're just a foodie like myself who thought a Michelin star would meanmind blowing food, set your expectations a lot lower.
If there were half stars, we?d probably rate Akita a 3.5, reason being that it is good, but not as good as it should be given the price and the hype. The food presentation was top notch, but the taste itself was very average and thus underwhelming. Infact, I think we?ve had better sushi at takeout or even ready-made. We also tried the ribeye, and like everything else, thepresentation was good but the meat itself was underwhelming. It was chewy and tough, a very soft sear, and didn?t come with anysides. It was also oily which was unappealing. The octopus was surprisingly fried with a batter, which made it taste a bit likefried chicken. However, it was my favorite dish and the truffle potato fluff was delicious. The cocktails were disappointingand weak ? my first one tasted watered down and my girlfriend?s tasted like juice. Far too expensive for what they were. Thewaiting staff were quite nice and attentive. They were very accommodating even when we arrived late so the service gets a5/5. We will likely not be returning but if you want an upscale experience with mediocre food, then I would recommend it.
Everything I had (except the Wagyu sushi) was excellent and inventive.
Food was amazing; very innovative and fresh. Service was excellent too. Beautiful decor, but very noisy, making it hard to hear others in my party of 5. Desserts were just mediocre.
Food was delicious!!! Decor is awesome! Service fantastic!
