Vibo - Toronto

Went to VIBO for my birthday mid September. My quick summary below: Food quality very good. Our dishes were Lamb pappardelle (very good), calf liver (exceptional) and fettuccini Bolognese (excellent) Value very good Service extremely good. Waiter was very knowledgeable on wines and dishes and provided a lot of helpful advice to choose the best meals. They really stood out here Ambience: The restaurant is actually quite large (long in length) so there is lots of seating. unfortunately we were seated a bit closely to other people. Honestly, everything was excellent except one big problem which isn't the restaurants fault. the table next to us had a party of 4 and the man at the table was extremely loud and went on a rant for over an hour with his extreme political views which was very off putting and quite frankly ruined my bday dinner. Again, but the restaurants fault, I'm not quite sure what to do in these situations, perhaps I should have asked to move tables? Honestly, it was terrible because you couldn't block him out. Ruined the whole evening.

We were there earlier this year and the food was very good. Last night the food was not good. Pasta and meatballs was awful. Their special linguine with shrimp, calamari and white fish with lobster sauce was not very good. Calamari was rubbery and shrimps overcooked. The lobster sauce did not taste like lobster sauce at all simply a tomato sauce. So disappointed. Dessert was ok. Won’t be going there again. Big disappointment!

This is one of our very favourite restaurants. We go here often and for our most important occasions. The staff are great, the bar is great and of course the food is always great.

Food was delicious. Waiters were attentive. The chef made a dish that was not on the menu because it was not too busy.

Service good. Caesar salad very good. Veal Parmagian disappointing.
