Bidrage med feedbackFor a restaurant rated so high, we were uterly dissapointent. If you are a stake lover, for the love of God, do not go there or you won't be wanting stakes for a loooong time (ptsp level pro). We were given totally raw stakes at first while demending medium. Then asked to redo them well done, afraid of the same experience. Again, they came out raw, not to mention that they were absolutely tasteless. You can basically only taste the raw meet without any flavours. We were sorry for the meat and felt literlly sick to stomack afterwards. We tried to eat at least something and ended up eating only the salad. We felt bad for one amazing waitress that spoke English and was really polite so we did not make a fuss about anything. But folks, do not go there.....this is the worst experience with food we had in like forever.
This is a restaurant where you can choose your meat by seeing. Then you have to say how you would like your meat to be cooked. This is quite a nice idea, to see the meat that you would like to eat. I haven't given 5 stars just because nobody explained us how it works in the restaurant. Basically it is quite like self service. You first choose your meat than the side dish (whether French fries or a salad or grilled vegetables) and the drink and while going to your table you should take all that is necessary to eat, the forks, knives, glasses, salt, pepper, etc... the meat is really delicious. It is not as pricey as an elegant steak restaurant. Recommended...
This was my first time visiting a macelleria style restaurant. Basically, they have a butcher counter and you are given a plethora of options for what you can have for a meal. The staff was very helpful when making my order. I ordered a T-Bone steak, fried potatoes, and a ciambella (Italian doughnut) for dessert. In my experience, the scale of doneness for steak (Rare-Done) is different from US standards. For example, I ordered my steak medium here even though I usually order medium-rare in the US. Regardless, all of the food here is top-notch. The T-Bone was massive and I struggled to finish the entire thing. A neighboring restaurant-goer was in awe by the fact of my finishing the steak. If I were to go again, I'd order a multitude of meats and share.
While in Torino you must visit this restaurant. You just choose what meat you want to eat from a butcher counter. And it's served to your table cooked. It was delicious. I recommend you book before as on a Sunday evening it was pretty busy. Luckily the friendly restaurant manager accomodated us to a table. We found it worth the money because for sure it would cost more if you eat in a steakhouse. From the city centre you can catch tram no. 9.
Great service as soon as we walked in, although we spoke little Italian, They grabbed an English speaking waitress to help us choose the meat and explain how the restaurant worked. If you love meat this is the best. The food and wine was great. And the service even better.
